The Women in Classical Music Symposium takes place November 6 to 9 at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas, TX to inspire women in the field of classical music.

The 3-day event is sponsored by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and is now in its fourth year. The symposium’s organizers say despite the fact that more women graduate from prominent conservatories and schools of music than their male counterparts, they are “severely underrepresented in titled conducting positions, in programming by major orchestras, on stage as soloists, and in management leadership positions.”

The symposium was created to help women musicians “reach their full potential professionally, while simultaneously acting as a catalyst for broad-scale change in the industry.”

The 2022 event will highlight future women leaders in classical music and ways in which women can support one another.

The weekend will include networking events, performances and opportunities for peer engagement. View a full schedule of events here. Individual Registration is $150. Student Registration is $50. Register online. Scholarships are available, contact symposium@dalsym.com
