
Quinteto Latino will present Seminario 2022 on August 5-7 at San Jose State University. Seminario is a biennial conference of Latino musicians from around the U.S., exploring the intersections of identity, artistry, and racial equity in the classical music field.
Co-hosted by SJSU’s Department of Music and Dance, the weekend will feature an opening plenary, and a final concert and reception featuring Seminario cohort musicians, both events are open to the public.
Quinteto Latino‘s mission is to disrupt racial and economic disparities within the classical music field by championing past, present, and future contributions by Latino composers and musicians. The organization promotes classical music by Latino and Latin American composers through performances, commissions, mentoring, and child and adult education.
