Tiffany Poon will perform December 12 at 2 p.m. at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts as part of Washington Performing Arts’ 2021-2022 season. The program features the works of composers Clara and Robert Schumann.
The 24-year-old Hong Kong born pianist currently resides in New York. Through her popular YouTube channel, she uploads her concert videos, vlogs, and “Classical Chats” for her nearly 300,000 subscribers, and makes the world of classical music study more relatable for the performer and the novice.
Poon graduated from the Columbia University/Juilliard School exchange program where she studied with Emanuel Ax and Joseph Kalichstein. She is a prizewinner of the KlavierOlymp of the Kissinger Sommer Festival, National YoungArts, the Moscow International Frederic Chopin Competition for Young Pianists, and the Walter W.
